Symptoms of Subarachnoid Haemorrhage |
A subarachnoid haemorrhage is an uncommon type of stroke caused by bleeding on the surface of the brain. It's a very serious condition and can be fatal. SAH is a sudden bleeding over the surface of the brain, under the arachnoid layer. Bleeding usually originates from a ruptured aneurysm or an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The most common symptom is a sudden, severe headache, often followed by a loss of consciousness. |
